I received an email from Tony Allegretti, a Main Library LLC partner, letting me know thier proposal along with two others was been selected for final evaluation by the city. Tony informed me thier plan ranked third of the three in terms of favor by the city. Tony is confident thier proposal will win out over the others due to the benefits thier plan has over the other two.

Here is how the city rated the top three proposals base on thier written submissions:
68.18 -Atkins Group Inc.
62.71 – Peterbrooke Chocolatier
56.54 – Main Branch LLC

The next step is the City’s Competitive Sealed Proposal Evaluation Committee (CSPEC) will hear brief presentations from each of the three finalists and question them. The interviews are tentatively scheduled for early July and a decision could be made the same day.

Because the property is in a community redevelopment area, the City had to go through a request for proposals process, which by definition includes considerations other than the highest bid.
