jea parking ramp reflecting city hall [JEA Parking Ramp on Laura Street, City Hall reflection]

The proposed live-work lofts at 15 West 6th Street received COA approval. Current city zoning codes don’t recognize the construction of live-work lofts, so the builder must have a PUD (Planned Unit Development) zoning classification. This will eliminate some current zoning classifications that could be detrimental, such as the creation of 6 off-street parking spaces. There is a 90 day process to get PUD approval, once this happens the builder will advance to the permitting stage with an eye on breaking ground early 2006.

The Pearl is open, although some Springfield residents wonder what, if anything, they are going to with the exterior.
