Liberty and Schell Parks in Springfield have been stripped of their jungle-gyms. The new Liberty Park jungle-gyms are already taking shape already. Work on Liberty Park is estimated to be complete in March of 2006, cost: $184K. We saw the City mulling around Schell Park doing their thing so we anticipate work will begin there soon. Maybe DowntownParks can enlighten us on exactly what IS going on at Schell park.

DowntownParks responded to our inquiry, in rather quick fashion:

Yes, the playground is being replaced by Park Maintenance therefore the time frame on this project should be completed within the next 2 weeks.
