Here are a few photos from last Friday’s gallery openings. Two Dogs Approached opened at SEESAW in Springfield and Deepressionist opened at Boomtown, downtown.

We were not able to attend the Deepressionist show but we did get to see Two Dogs Approached. The show was decidedly intellectual with not much to look at. Probably our least favorite show in the Final Friday series.

While the photos were gritty and at times compelling they just demanded too much from the audience. Immediate accessibility and general appeal were definately lacking in the show. Many of the pieces required the audience to read and process the meaning of the work. We have to say the show WAS inspired and we respect what the artists were trying to accomplish, but it was just too much for a lazy blogger at the end of the week.
