I think the premise behind the article was summed up in the tag line, “This city needs to wake up and realize that we are the new media.”

It wasn’t the goal of the article to point out that blogging in Jax is now ‘here’ but rather the underground media has garned a very powerful voice as of late and here are a few of them….

Who does what first should always be credited and never forgotten or taken for granted but same goes for those that are making waves and having a very real impact on the community.

Good work to all that inform the masses.

The blogs that Rogers Cadenhead has pointed out may be written by people in Jacksonville, but they are not ABOUT Jacksonville. Who cares if the author of an uninteresting blog resides in Jacksonville?

I’m not even sure how the casual observer would even know where the author is located in most of them.
