Yes they are gone for good. I know Nicholas want to focus on the roasting and coffee bean selling side. But who knows, they may be back. If they do return I doubt they will return to their former space in Boomtown.

So, is Jungle Runners gone from downtown for good? Or for now? Or is this something yet to be determined? And what about the Lisa that said she wanted to lend a hand? Did anything become of that?

This is Stephen Dare, Joey,

I am not sure what the motivation behind the type of posting on Ricotta Park is. Ive always been against it, and try not to perpetuate it, even in my own defence.

It is only fair to say that Boomtown had nothing at all to do with Jungle Runners success or failure. At all.

Our only role with Jungle Runners was to provide them with space and electricity at charity pricing. (for the record, a hundred dollars a month all inclusive, of which we only actually collected about 75 dollars)

As additional help and support to Nick and JJ, we also contributed 20% of all of our TO GO sales, for simply writing down and doing the bagging of our lunch items.

The truth is that the downtown market is simply a difficult and exacting market. It is very different than the historic neighborhoods. The minute that Nick and JJ stopped manning their counter and working the business, their sales declined.

Boomtowns TO GO sales declined rapidly as well, and after three weeks of consecutive decline, I simply scheduled a Boomtown Employee to handle all of our orders.

Without stirring up invective or bad feelings, I would like to say that the post here is not actually true, but rather a way of displacing the blame for a lack of success onto someone else's shoulders.

Besides giving them space, accomodating their business, and contributing a portion of boomtown's sales to their enterprise, I cannot think what else we could have done to MAKE them succeed.

Perhaps Dianne from Uncommon Grounds would have input of interest. For my part, I refuse to badmouth Nick or JJ, since I sincerely hope that they succeed.
