Do you live in Springfield? Are you involved in your community? Derek Hudson is holding a meeting to teach people had to add stories to the SPAR website. There is a poll running on the SPAR message board to determine what day works best for the community. Right now Thursday 13 July @ 6:30pm is winning. Here is a quote from Derek on his motivation for organizing this session:
My vision for the web site has always been for it to be totally community-driven and to use it as a clearing house for any neighborhood information we want to share with the general public.
So come out and learn how to do the following:
- User Registration
- Newsletter Article Submission
- Calendar Event Submission
- Web Link Submission
- Profile Management (changing your password, updating you email address, etc..)
- Other Members-Only Features
One of these days the SPAR website will surely replace the antiquated news letter that is published on a monthly basis. I hope Derek can inspire the community to begin contributing to the SPAR website. It has the potential to become THE resource for Springfield news.
