Sorry, guys…

You’re both wrong, the building the seesaw space was in, is scheduled to be torn down, but not the Draper Studio building.

As far as the “accidently” line, you may want to ask COJ why an emergency demolition permit was given to take down the building on the SE corner of 8th and Pearl…and it had nothing to do with JEA, but the road construction…

Oh damn! What a burn on CVH. The timeline seems dead on, but the part about demolishing the whole block is a bit exaggerated. Demolition for the 8th and Pearl project is complete. None of the remaining structures at 8th and Pearl will be demolished.

Whoever takes on the task, they certainly won’t be using the same space. The entire block is scheduled for demolition to make way for Craig VanHorn’s ~~Starbucks~~ Town Center project. That should begin construction in late 2018 and be ready for occupancy in 2035. Exciting times they are a’comin’…
