Nosh in springfield is not able to serve liquor, beer or wine. The division of alcoholic beverages and tobacco decided Nosh’s alcohol license is not valid. It’s unclear, but Nosh may have been mooching off the license of a former tenant, Henrietta’s.
An employee said they should be serving alcohol again soon - possibly within a week. Rickolus (Rick Colado of the julius airwave) is performing tonight. Nosh is exploring alcohol options, which include having a keg or kegs at the show.

i actually just arrived home from this promotion. i was just checking my mail and i find a message from mi amiga, jen. she told me to read this particular entry in this blog (Urban Jax). i had never read this blog before and quite dig. so thanks, jen! and all i have to say is tonight was indeed weird and the energy as far as the space, itself –was/is “OFF”. however, Rickolus & Crash the Satellites neutralized the “weirdness” and put on one spectacular show (per usual). If you’ve never seen either of these artists/bands–WHAT THE HELL?!!? Rickolus is performing with his band, The Julius Airwave, at Freebird Live this Friday July 28th… so GO! Crash the Satellites is possibly performing at Eclipse this Sunday, July 23rd…
Enough with the promoting… and back to the “NOSH” topic:
#1: hahaha… i love you “~b”! .
#2: even though i found out right** before the event itself about the “no liquor”… we (the promotional team/bands/friends/fans) had fun. mr. van horne said “B.Y.O.B.” and we all did just that. rickolus was simply amazing per usual … and crash the satellites is just insane good. but man oh man … having absolutely no liquor or beer … seriously, WTF? at least they’ll have the licensing back in place next week. that’s the positive, yes?
and about the “NO FUN” statement in the initial blog … whereas i SINCERELY see where you are coming from at this point in time with 9th and Main/NOSH as we presently know it –please note that my events at 9th and Main/Nosh involve the bands, patrons, artists and djs that aren’t just “FUN”, but rather brilliant and amazing if i do say so myself:) there’s more where that came from…. wink wink….

oh!! THIS is “Joey” … “the brother” … with THE BABY… the cutest cutest baby. i love that little bear picture that rachel had up on her page of your baby.
9th & Main now has a liquor license of our own. The reason it was “taken away” is because Nosh was selling liquor illegally under the former Henrietta’s license. Our license has been reinstated as of yesterday under the name “9th & Main”, and the bar is open and ready for business. In fact, we now have a happy hour that includes 2 for 1 drink specials from 5pm-9pm. We’ll also be serving our regular menu, plus some new items. Everybody should come check it out!
p.s. sorry to anyone that may have been inconvenienced by the “B.Y.O.B.” surprise at the Rickolus show… it sucked for us too.
