In a stunning example of the power of the community, the homeless camp at 3rd and Main has been cleaned up. Petra Management, owned Chris Hionides, not only evicted the people who were camping on their property, but they actually cleaned up the lot. The trash from the lot filled one of the big demolition dumpsters.

Thanks to everyone who called Petra Management about this property or who contributed to the conversation in the original post. This goes to show how you can have an impact on local issues. You can make a difference by calling, emailing or writing letters.

See the positive things that your blog can do? Instead of dwelling on the negative, try to eliminate it. Some times you have to highlight the negative in order to eliminate it, but consider the audience.

Looks like they demolished the building as well. I drove by today and it looked like they were making sure that no one would use that shack as a home anymore.
