When I said I was taking a vaca I wasn’t kidding. No blogging, no message boards and no news reader. Now it’s time to go through my overflowing news reader and pick out the best news from the past two weeks. And what better time to do it than during an episode of Ugly Betty.

Since I mentioned my news reader I thought it might be a nice present to give away my entire Urban Jacksonville subscription list in RSS format. You can import this file into your news reader and have each and every site I subscribe to for Urban Jacksonville research. Think of it as my gift to you. More on news readers. More on RSS. More on OPML.

From the Blogosphere:
Bright Young Things @ Jane Gray Gallery
Ricotta Park and Metro Jacksonville both get a makeovers
Downtown Jacksonville art scene on FCN
Photos from the TSI skate deck show here and here.
Mayor Peyton, re-think Main St Beautification Project
Urban Connectivity: State & Union
Distinguish Jacksonville: Prairie School Architecture

From the Main Stream Media:
Nothing! Isn’t there anything good in the main stream news anymore? Props to all the people who kept writing over the holidays. Especially Metro Jacksonville. If I had to select the best blog right now, purely from a content perspective, it would be them. They continue to publish hit after hit and I respect and appreciate that.
