Friday January 26th MOCA Jacksonville is holding it’s biggest opening of the year. Granted it’s only January, but this truly is big. I can’t make it to this show, but if anyone takes photos, video, writes reviews or does interviews, I will post them on Urban Jacksonville.
The opening will feature four exhibitions:
Second Skins: Sculptural Soundsuits and Tondos by Nick Cave
Other Worlds: The Landscape in Contemporary Art
Anderson and Low: Athlete/ Warrior
First Coast Portfolio
The opening is from 6:00pm-9:00pm and is free for members, $25 for non-members. One of my friends Brittni Wood has some pieces in the First Coast Portfolio show which is an exhibition by area art teachers juried by MOCA Director and Curator of Art. Go out and support our growing vibrant art scene.
