I went to all of the shows, and they were all great. Thanks so much everyone who put those on. The 9th and Liberty show was the best one I've been to in Jacksonville - really engaging images that flowed together exceptionally well. Great space, great people. Anyone who missed it: it is absolutely worth your while to make an effort to get out there 12-5 on another Saturday in May.

first of all i'd like to thank byron and tony for putting together/hosting an awesome show... and for asking me to be a part of things. great jobs guys! i too was a bit disappointed with the overall turnout, however it was very nice to meet the folks who did show up. i'd like to echo tony's comment... i think it's encouraging for a first show in a new space and i hope tony, byron, and all others involved continue to put on quality events such as this one! maybe next time two thousand people will show up ;~)

dana & joey thanks for all the great pics...

thanks for all the posts about the show joey!

I agree, Joey. I expected a much better turnout, especially since the events on Friday night were so well attended. A lot of people I talked to on Sunday about the 9th and Liberty show, didn't know anything about it, so I guess I should have made more of an effort to get the word out. But anyway, it was wonderful to see great quality work at kind of a sqatter's art space. Artists, don't despair! Polly and I really loved the work and we certainly appreciated the work by Byron and Tony and everybody else involved in mounting this show.

Hey, did you say there was still beer left?

Don't be bummed Joey, it was encouraging for a first show. Plus, there were thousands of people there before you got there. Byron curated a really strong show and we had real people let us know that they loved this kind of show.

Some artists sold work too so that too was positive. There will be a ton a photos floating around from this show but I encourage all who care to see this art from around the country to meet Byron on a Saturday and see it. I think most will be up for a month. There is beer left.
