It’s not looking good for Craig Van Horne these days. Metro Jacksonville reported yesterday:
… 8 more Van Horne properties have gone into foreclosure, this time all residential structures.
According to our source, the bankers who have underwritten Craig’s properties are beginning to seriously lose confidence in Van Horne’s ability to continue to make payments—even given the history of his inconsistent performance– and are quietly approaching potential buyers for the properties to avoid liquidation.
Yikes. Metro Jacksonville also goes on to say these developments cannot possibly be welcome to the Springfield Neighborhood
, but I say bring it on. Bring some new blood into the neighborhood and get the bad blood out. Things can’t possibly get worse in Springfield and all signs point to things getting better.
The major sign post I see pointing to things getting better is the increase of neighbors I see walking around on the streets. I’ve also have had quite a few people contact me in the past few days saying they just moved to the neighborhood. If we can keep these types of developments going we can continue to build a residential base that can and will support local businesses as they move into the neighborhood.
