Master Pancake Theater

Master Pankcake Theater is bringing its movie-mocking show from Austin, Texas to San Marco this weekend. Think Mystery Science 3000, but with contemporary movies instead of 50’s sci-fi.

Master Pankcake Theater is three guys from Austin who pair bad movies with live comedy. The San Marco theater was nice enough to write descriptions of each Master Pancake show complete with promos for each show.

My pick is definitely The One Man He-Man show:

John Erler (of the Alamo’s “Master Pancake Theater”) provides a one-man, live, alternate voice-over for the 80s animated movie He-Man and the Secret of the Sword. Based on the TV cartoon He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Secret of the Sword features all your favorite He-Man characters: Battle-Cat, Man-at-Arms, Beast Man, She-Ra, Tri-Klops and more! He will single-handedly be re-voicing and re-writing the original script liberally the night of the show.
