I really gave it all I had at Wednesday’s Art Walk, hence me not feeling so hot on Thursday. Hence no blog post on Thursday, but hey! I’m feeling much better now. Art Walk was, as always, an amazing event. Even with the looming demise of Thief in The Knight. Even though Julius Airwave did not play on top of the Burrito Gallery. There was plenty to be excited about. No rain, not too hot and Black Kids at the Knight Building!

There are a few things going on at Shanty Town This weekend. Saturday is the White Trash Party with Good Fortune and The Dirty Get Caughts.
Sunday is an all day metal fest. Check out Black Tusk, Skeleton Witch, Civilization, Shitagoddamn, Roargan, Dark Castle and Hallelujah. Starts @ 6pm.
The 48 Hour Film project is going on in Jacksonville this weekend:
The 48 Hour Film Project’s mission is to advance filmmaking and promote filmmakers. Through its festival/competition, the Project encourages filmmakers and would-be filmmakers to get out there and make movies. The tight deadline of 48 hours puts the focus squarely on the filmmakersâ€â€emphasizing creativity and teamwork skills. While the time limit places an unusual restriction on the filmmakers, it is also liberating by putting an emphasis on “doing” instead of “talking.”
