If you haven’t heard Boomtown is moving to San Marco. They’ll be located on Hendricks Avenue across from the tennis courts and a few doors down from the Jaxcore skate shop.
Along with a collection of Ryan Rummel’s art on the walls, the new Boomtown location has four pre-opening events scheduled for the last two weekends in August.
I only have details on one event, Damian Lamarr will be performing on August 25th. The doors will open each night at 6, with dinner being served at 7 and the performances will begin shortly afterwards. The Ticket price is 25 dollars per person, all inclusive and guests for the performances will be served dinner, deserts and drinks.
It’s also interesting to note that:
We are really working on creating an unduplicateable experience for Faye Wood’s Boomtown Bistro, and I think we can confidently say that this new format hasn’t been experienced by Jacksonville Diners since the 1950s
Overall I think this will be a good addition to the exploding San Marco scene. It will be interesting to see how Boomtown works in a much smaller space than they are used to having.

Will this Boomtown be associated with Stephen Dare? If so, who is Faye Wood?
Yes, the restuarant will still be operated and owned by the same crew. Faye Wood is a name from Jacksonville’s history. There’s a story behind the name, but Dare would have to explain it to you.
ryan rummel is one of, if not the most talented artist in jacksonville. i would love to see more of his work!
