I am happy to announce there’s a lot to do this evening. Check out ExperienceJax the new city-wide event calendar that launched today courtesy of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.
nGen Works, the company I work for, and the Cultural Council have been working on this one of a kind event calendar for well over a year. What makes this calendar unique in a city filled with event calendars? You Do!
ExperienceJax is one of the only calendars to let you submit events. That’s right, but hold your horses before you break out your date books and start entering all your cousins’ birthdays. This calendar is for cultural events and all events are reviewed before publishing.
Do you have an art show coming up, maybe a guitar hero competition or book reading? Then this is the place to submit your event. The calendar is free to the public and anyone can submit an event.
The Cultural Council strives to approve events quickly, but there is a possible 2-business-day waiting period for events to appear on the calendar. The Cultural Council also reserves the right to deny events submitted to the calendar. So don’t get your feelings hurt if your event doesn’t show up, it’s nothing personal.
So go check out what’s going on in the city. I think you might be surprised what you find.
