Thank goodness someone grabbed some pics of Springfield during the epic flood of 2007. I was driving around in the rain with no camera kicking myself.

I spoke to a friend of mine about how something like this was event possible in Springfield. Was it the cities fault that the drainage is so bad in Springfield that it causes Hogan’s Creek to take over Klutho Park anytime we have more than 3 inches of rain? Not exactly.

He informed me that Hogan’s Creek is the overflow for the river and this was natural and expected given the fact that we had 6-7 inches of rain in less than an hour. For more photos and commentary on the flood check out this thread on the SPAR message board.
