Well I’m glad Heartworks isn’t gone forever.

I think this could be a great time for some open dialogue between the Lovenguths and their customers, who obviously have some input on the situation.

I feel quicker service is a top priority for Heartworks.

Hopefully they don’t just remodel the interior, but remodel their business plan as well.

as an employee of heartworks i will say that heartworks really WAS closing. All of the employees were told that we were out of a job and that there was nothing anyone could do about it. so there really wasnt any research that would have shown differently. i actually had no idea they werent closing until i read this post on UJ. so dont worry you were reporting the news as accurately as everyone (including people that worked there) could tell.

any word on if they will be keeping the tofu sandwhich?!?!

The word I heard on the street/skreet is that Heartworks will be reopening as a Deep Fried Steak bar with a signature Gravy & Ice Cream Float drink.

The name sounds the same but the menu is updated to truly test whether your Heartworks.

Of course I completely made this up.

Thanks to clay for clarifying. Sounds like George could take a lesson in PR as well. “People should really do some research before making false statements.” Gosh, honest mistake. Really makes me want to enjoy your fine establishment.

ok so i never found their food as good as the hype…..

and the service, well, was awful…..

and now it seems that one of the owners is a less than pleasant guy…….

A trifecta of restaurant value.

Well you wouldn’t expect that type of remark from someone who obviously saw posts of people truly concerned about the well-being of Heartworks. I’ve never been and don’t think I will at this point.

I’m with the pack on this one. Supporting local, organic, vegan, etc. is fantastic, but the douche-factor is definitely an overriding one.

I hope they try to use local goat cheese, and vegetables…and tempeh, and, well, there’s a lot around here if anyone actually has the resources to make the effort.
I find it pretty funny that Elaine wouldn’t inform her investors that an interested crew of young vegetarians from the neighborhood were thinking of buying her out…
Obviously, that’s a crew to talk to about things to improve. Because it represents a market that would like to spend it’s food dollars at Heartworks, but after waiting an hour for an uncooked potato or carrot dog…several times…decides to just go to Hovan. With a heavy heart.
We just want the place to be everything that it could be.
We’ll see how the douche-factor balances out.

Found a 10K wedding ring yesterday while cleaning and getting prepared for the state health inspection (currently dealing with some major failed inspection issues). Initials engraved inside the ring band are MF along with a date. You may retrieve thisring by writing and describing it; identfying it. Good Luck to all. George@JazmonRealty.com

For those interested we have been cleaning and replacing equipment that was totally in bad spahe and rather filthy. The many citations have been repaired and scrubbed clean and the state health inspection will take place hopefully this week. We will be staring out with coffee and drinks, building up to small food choices and then meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There will also be a Sunday brunch as well. My wife and I own Heartworks Cafe free and clear and for those who want a basic vegetarian diet menu I invite you to return. In life there is always a new start and we are in that moment. Thank you for your interest and any feedback will be read. I also want it known that Heartworks Cafe will be giving special seervice to all senior citizens.

Everyone wins when they eat good.

So what are the hours? Everytime I call 904.355.6210 the phone just rings. Any info?
