I think adam is saying, and I kinda of agree, that why close off downtown parking? If someone wants to park on Laura St and walk to the game, why would we want to stop him?

There already is no parking on Main, Union, and State, why not let people park where they want in normal parking spots?

I think what you are saying is that after the game, once all of the traffic is moved out the bags need to come off.

We covered that at the meeting (which was after that weekend to be fair). I had brunch at the museum the next morning after the game and the bags were on the laura st meters. Leonard got in trouble when I mentioned this. Anyhow they should come off some short amount of time after the game and be available for paying customers of the block, for sure. I'll pass your comment on to Director Kelly.

I would have to agree with TSI Brendon: When FSU/ALA game was here a few weeks ago, I went to Mark's to watch the FL/Auburn game, and had I left 5 minutes later, it literally would have added about 30 minutes to my getting to the bar-- and yes, I am saying 30 minutes to get from the 'field to Bay St. And even when I got down there, every single damn meter spot was bagged, which made, oh, NO SENSE at all. Seriously, whoever is in charge of such things, including Jags game day traffic, needs to get his head out of his ass and realize that, yes, in fact there are people who live around here. You can't just continually give the right of way to Jags game day traffic, because that solves nothing for us non-jags folks.
