I just got back from vacation in Asheville and thought I'd check out what was happening in j-ville while I was gone. What do I find? A post titled "Back from Asheville"! Crazy!

Nice downtown area. We loved the variety of building designs.

man how i love asheville. i used to go to a summer camp up there (a southern baptist one, if you can believe it) and i loved staying in asheville before and after. it's also where i got my tattoo, since tattoo parlors are illegal in south carolina.

Asheville is a nice place to hang out in. I don't know if our city leaders would ever allow their downtown scene to take root here, but to me, spots like Myrtle/Beaver, Park St. (Brooklyn) and the Springfield Warehouse District, etc. are ripe for it.
