Urban Jacksonville redesign!

Woo hoo! It feels good to get this out there. It all started about 5 months ago when Travis from Rockthenroll dropped the Photoshop comp in my inbox. I thought I would bang this thing out in a weekend and roll on.

It’s a good thing I didn’t. I think I needed the break. Time to reflect. Time to realize how important Urban Jacksonville is to the city. Now the time has arrived. Presenting the new Urban Jacksonville!

Not a lot is going to change content-wise. I don’t have any spectacular new features, just a polished design that will take Urban Jacksonville to the next level visually. You know what they say, dress for success, right!?

I have nice little punch list going and I’d really appreciate your help finding little bugs. Just drop a comment on this post or send me an email.

  1. Archive section. It’s working, but it’s a huge list, which I think is kinda cool. Seems like it needs to be broken up a little more though.
  2. Search results not found
  3. Debug layout for Internet Explorer 6. What are you using IE6 for anyway? Do yourself a favor and download a copy of Firefox or Safari. Tabbed browsing will change your life.
  4. Here states for main navigation
  5. Title attributes for urban news links
  6. Comment icon too low on single post view if post title is 2 lines

I am also looking for more contributors so if you are interested in contributing send me a sample post.

If you can guess where I am in the picture I’ll give you something special. The person who sent me this photo is exempt from this contest.
