UPDATE: Here is a fun, informal podcast with interviews and comments at the 3rd annual Jacksonville Tangerine Festival.
JaxScene posted some great photos from last weekend’s Tangerine Festival. It looks like there was a pretty good turnout despite the weather. Tangerine Festival Photoset
While you’re at it add JaxScene to your list of blogs to read daily. They’ve been pretty consistent about posting things to do in Jacksonville after work hours. The links in their sidebar tell the tale of what JaxScene is all about: Flickr, Nightlife, Bands.

Check out Owen and Reggie from Black Kids a few years ago when they played in the band Mata Hari. This was when TSI was still in Springfield. Ahh it seems so long ago… My how they’ve grown. Also Black Kids are playing at Coachella. Awesome.

wow. 2/04 doesn’t look that long ago, until i realized that i was still living in greenville, sc and in undergrad at that point. probably slaving away on “The Development of Study Skills in the College Student,” which is actually published in the southwestern north dakota educators monthly, i believe!
err, 05 i mean..
This may be a bit random, I really don’t know what to think of it. But apparently Lex and Terry (yeah, a little shocking) reffered a caller to TSI, saying it was a really cool place to check out.
Did anyone happen to hear this?
P.S. wtf?
I haven’t listened to Lex and Terry since I was in 10th grade. So I have no idea. That’s pretty funny because normally they are talking about farts and strippers, not interesting places to hang out downtown. Yeah, WTF.
yeah I heard it, Their phone screener TAINT, who is in a indie style band, refered to TSI the other morning when they were doing a segment called “the most embarrassing songs on your itunes”. Taint said he has an old Cure song (i think) that everytime he was at TSI and the song wold come on, he would have to fight it to not break out in dance like everyone else. that was pretty much it.
Ha! Must have been back when Kevin was on Saturdays.
Taint, what a name.
