uh....bollywood fims?!?! Are these open to the public?
Holy crap!
If there were both Bollywood films to see every weekend AND an indian restaurant in my neighborhood I would never even consider going back to Queens. That is disorientingly awesome, Tim.

hiya,
well, thanks for the kind words. i wish the board of the festival knew that people on the selection committee at Florida Fest are floored by the programming here maybe then I wouldn't have been laid off in december then offered a horrifying contract that i couldn't accept. so i am moving on ARCADE CINEFEST is next folks. stay tuned.

oh and yeah....there is a large indian population in jax and they book movies here every weekend. they are rarely subtitled but who needs to read. they are a hoot to watch.

oh and i think i have convinced one of em to open and indian rest. in riverside. i love the japanese food but geez...a little diversity would be nice, no?

cheers!

The Talkies is something that makes me proud to be in Jacksonville... Everytime I tell my out of town friends about this they say "I wish we had something like that here". I mentioned it to people in Seattle last year and they were dumbfounded. One of my friends is on the selection committee of the Florida Film Festival in Orlando and he is constantly floored by the movies we get to see for the midnight movies at Sn Marco. Unfortunately I don't get to see them as much as I would like, due to my schedule.... But there is nothing like seeing these movies in the San Marco Theater. Thank you Tim....

also... what's the deal with the movies on Sunday afternoon? there are always a ton of Indians there, is it Bollywood films? Tim, Is this something you run or is it by someone else outside of the theater bringing it in?
