... "I live downtown too" ...
Holy fu••, if I only knew never would I have questioned your profound knowledge of arts and what seems to be a keen sense of aesthetics and human rights. My sincere apologies to you, sir.

Tsk, tsk Johnny!
Nothing like a suburban kid telling us what street art is or isn't! Shouldn't you be mowing your lawn or something?

Hey, I know people that had "street art" on their buildings. They were pissed and had to have it painted over only to have it repeated. I'm not saying that some of it isn't attractive. The thing is, beauty is different for everyone. Therefore it should be put on something they own, not on something someone else owns. If you feel differently, then you should allow others to kick dents in your car. Hell, someone may find that attractive and you can get a dent puller pretty cheap at an auto parts store.

St. Francis said,
“A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”

It takes courage, skills and time to create good street art. It takes only a second for someone to criticize and make assumptions of others on a blog.

it was street art with a message. as far as i can tell none of those three artist spray painted anything it was all wheat pasted. i'm sure if they wanted to vandalize the town they would have used something more permanent. sorry it wasn't of a little kid picking flowers, a big guy with balloons or a old couple.(which i enjoy by the way)but in all it was to make this city more culturable, and as far as i know none of them were white. stop hating, stop being racist, and labeling people. i thought that issue was discussed in the 90's.
