I walk/bike down Laura Street at least 4 or 5 times a week and I always take a peek in Hogan’s Creek to see the current state of pollution. For the last few weeks there have been 2 shopping carts perched in the creek at Laura Street. It made me curious how many more shopping carts I might be able to find in the creek.
So starting at 8th Street and working my way East, I counted 8 shopping carts in the creek. I wonder how the City to allow this potentially beautiful waterway, to become so polluted. It was once part of a proposed “Emerald Necklace”, now it just seems forgotten and neglected.
I tried to enter a CARE request, the City’s online “fix shit” hotline, but I got so frustrated looking for it on their website, so I gave up and wrote this post. Maybe someone can hook me up with a link. If someone does, I’ll post it here, then everyone can put in a request.
