Urban Jacksonville Mixtape #3

Starting with this Urban Jacksonville Mixtape, I’ll be asking local artist to create the mixtape covers. In addition I’ll be featuring a little information about them. First up is Squid Dust, a monster drawing fiend who I wrote about in Thankful for my Squid Dust stickers. Way to kick off the artist series and Happy Birthday Squid!

Here’s a little more about the artist, Squid Dust
I am a 23 (24 on Friday) year old dude living and drawing in Riverside. I enjoy creating monsters, beasts, creatures, and occasionally some zombies. Currently I’m working towards a show in March’s Artwalk. I’ve heard that it is a group show at a venue on Forsyth but unfortunately I don’t know much more than that right now…

There have also been talks of a future show at the Pegasus Gallery in St. Augustine but nothing is set in stone quite yet. I will be putting some hand screened prints for sale on etsy (edition of 8!) soon and hopefully I will have a self published art-zine come out this spring.

Other than that I will just be drawing and painting as much as humanly possible. The best way to keep track of me is either by subscribing to the RSS feed on www.squiddust.com or just by being my efriend on rupert murdoch’s teen fueled ad monster myspace.com/squiddust and if all else fails there is always squiddust at gmail dot com.
