Winn Dixie (still) Getting Better All the Time

The official reopening of Winn-Dixie’s downtown store is Wednesday July 9th. There will be will food and a wine tasting, the Urban League band will entertain shoppers, and there will also be a welcome ceremony with some Jacksonville heavy hitters. A La Mayor Peyton, Peter Lynch (CEO of Winn-Dixie), Sheriff Rutherford and Terry Lorince to name a few.

What else do you need to know? Time? It’s probably after work.

The store at Beach and SJB has really improved greatly in the last few months. I was amazed when I stopped in there last night. Maybe this whole thing wasn't just hype, they might actually be getting their act together for real this time.

I guess I missed the wine tasting, but I'll definitely stop by the downtown one this weekend and scope things out. Thanks for the good news, Joey!
