@dogon Point taken. There is a difference and I was not looking at the Black Kids from a music critic point of view, so the distinction you are making is correct. And hell yes, I’m marketing hard for Jacksonville. Somebody has to.

well, see, i guess my problem is that i thought we were talking about a “band”. (nevermind the “indie” tag) . “buzz” is definitely the right word to use, and the quote you posted here backs that up. it sounds as if it were written by an ad exec. not someone who cares about music, but someone interested in “buzz” and a group being “visible” and building their careers for his/her own gain. you talk about them bringing attention to this city in the same way. if you respect the band and their music, talk about that instead of “press” and how awesome they’re going to make jacksonville look.

isn’t the party date on the flyer wrong? today is tuesday the 22nd. and while i’m at it i’ll throw my 2 cents… say what you will about BK but i am proud of them and the fact that they hail from our lovely city.
