Urban News and Linkage – Late Monday Edition
Comments OffHerro! Today is an epic news day, there are so many things going on this week I need to start today to cover them all. This post should keep you busy for a few days.
You may have missed this when I posted it in the Urban News section, which by the way is becoming an indispensable resource that’s updated throughout the day.
Burro Bags are now selling at MOCA. So does this mean Burro Bags are contemporary art? I think they could be.
If you use Twitter, which I’ve recently become addicted to, you really should be following jaxdotcom. The Times-Union, our little prehistoric paper, has found a new-tech way to circumvent the traditional news cycle. I love it! It’s my favorite new fix.
Here are some photos from the past week: Dog and Pony show, Obama Campaign Opening in Springfield and new large insect street art.

National Night Out is next Tuesday, August 5th at the empty tire store lot at 8th & Perry at 6:30 P.M. SPAR is bringing meat, soda, and water. We ask that everyone please come to support this event with a favorie dish (finger foods are so much easier to manage) and a lawn chair to relax in. There will be music and fun as we send the message to criminals that nerghborhoods belong to families. EVERYONE is invited and welcome.
This is going to be a sweet block party. I’m definitely going to head down there. This is a HUGE lot so it’s sure to be a pretty rocking time.
