Thanks to Dennis at Thought & Theory for this image and all but writing this post for me :)

I’ve been tapped by the Jacksonville AIGA Chapter to participate in a roundtable discussion on web design this Thursday. I’ll be speaking with a fine lady and some fine fellows:

ROUNDTABLE PANEL INCLUDES:
Dennis Eusebio – Thought & Theory
Leslie Foster – Brown Dog Creative
Chris Lahey – Station Four
Joey Marchy – nGen Works
Chris Olberding – Station Four

I’ll also be answering such burning questions as:

  • Once the design is done what do I do with it? Find a coder? Code it myself?
  • What things are important to know if someone codes the design for me?
  • At what point in the entire process should I get the coder involved?
  • Should I use a WYSIWYG tool like Dreamweaver or should I learn HTML and CSS?
  • What are the advantages to using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
  • Is the Home Page more important then the Secondary Pages?
  • What are the main things I need to know about web hosting?
