Urban Jacksonville

So not much is going on with the street art scene right now. There are quite a few throw-ups in Springfield from Snob and Oil but seems like everyone is still on Christmas break. Let’s dispense with the traditional “this isn’t art” conversation, it’s just a broad-based term to encompass all the photos you will see. I think I’m going to start throwing in buffs too. There is something intriguing to me about them.

I like the buffs too….and the conversation around wheather or not street art is art, is certainly a ship that has sailed…

now the conversation should revolve around good vs. bad, or to use more artspeak terminology: successful vs. unsuccessful

Speaking of successful street art, Oil is a pretty successful graf artist. He did a pair of shoes for Nike, and is in the “also known as” book along the likes of Cope, Giant, and KAWS.
