@Adam W that’s funny, it made sense to me when I was writing it, but looking at it now, it’s pretty contradictory.

I was using decentralized in the sense of delegation of decision-making to the subunits of an organization.

So definitely centralizing events, but decentralizing the responsibility of managing the events by taking if from a single organization (Downtown Vision) and giving it to the people.

This is really awesome Joey! It’s something that was sorely needed, and I can attest to the lack of information out there. With the exception of the usual spots, I have found events I missed while perusing the blogs in the following days of an Art Walk.

The mobile application is truly impressive as well. Truly ingenious way to use an oft overlooked, but steadily growing, nook of users. Too bad I can’t attend this Wednesday’s Art Walk, I’d be all over setting up an itinerary on my phone!
