I agree. This show was the first time I ever took the time to listen to the mayor talk. I automatically assumed he was a major douche, but he seemed like a pretty normal dude. He should definitely do more stuff like this. My favorite part was when he goes on record as saying he needs to get Tony them docks for RAM.

And good job fellas, again. From Delaney to Junkie to the mayor! Solid.

I encourage anyone who's lost faith in the Mayor to listen to this weeks show (above). Some would say too little too late, some would say better late than never. Regardless of which camp you fall into you can't ignore the fact that the Mayor is fighting for what's right, in my opinion.

I agree completely. I even mentioned to someone that I gained more respect for Mayor Peyton after listening to this week's show. He seems to be genuinely trying to do the right thing here, while some others out there are just trying to score political points by riding shotgun on this wave of anti-government/anti-tax nonsense that we've been seeing lately.

I thought the same thing about the interview. Did we have the first laid back personal interview with Mayor Peyton? If there was one before this one I missed it.

The breakdown of the budget issues was accessible and interesting though one sided as it obv has to be in our format. The Mayor has a sense of humor and a great way of making his points that are understandable and not excruciatingly boring like budget talk can be.

I think he would have benefited during the last six years from more pr and public appearances like this. Better late than never though. In fact with the focus on the urban core, sustainable government and growth, I would probably support Peyton in future political aspirations, which I don't think I would have said a year ago.

I think clearly though in 2011 he is heading to the boardroom and out of politics as he is picking sides that are better for Jacksonville and not so much for elected office.

I know a lot of people say awful things about the mayor, but I really love listening to this show every week, and I feel like I have a better understanding of what's going on in Jacksonville. Peyton seems to be doing the best job he can, and I love when he contributes to the show
