Yes, I’m 32 now and ready to rock. It seems like things have been looking up for a while now. The city is on the move. I’ve locked into a good job and I have a baby on the way.
I mean yeah sure, there are some shitty things. My Volvo just broke down (O’Steen better not call and ruin my birthday!). They are still working on Main Street, the economy sucks and my friends are losing jobs, but we’ll all come out alright.
I did pose the question last night on Twitter: If you have too much on your plate and still want to do more AND are enjoying it, does that mean you are living life to it’s full potential?

I think the most important response I received was from my good buddy Nathan Arnold who said: “as long as you have a good family balance!”. I think that’s true and what I struggle with the most.
I can tell you come October the balance will shift whether I’m ready or not with the baby coming. Whether it’s a boy or a girl, it will demand and receive the majority of my attention.
Looking back over the past couple of years I’ve seen huge changes in the city. I’m happy to be a part of that and I look forward, even more, to the changes we’ve yet to create. Bring on another year bitches! I’m ready.
I’ll be getting the last two weeks of Urban Jacksonville Weekly posted today. We have back-to-back episodes that discuss the film community in Jacksonville. I’m very excited for the film community, as they play an important role in the cultural and economic development of Jacksonville.
