BBB Warehouse in Springfield to Close, Zombie Bikes and Burro Bags to Relocate

The BBB Warehouse at 1520 Main Street is closing. We announced this Saturday at the Live Urban Jacksonville Weekly 50th Show extravaganza. Sources close to the matter say Mack Bissette from SRG called to say the the space had to be vacated. The specific reasons or future plans for the space are unknown.

Future Plans

Zombie Bikes is rumored to be moving to a similar location in Springfield. Burro Bags is looking forward to finding a more retail oriented spot in the urban core.

It was a great run. Mack from SRG should be congratulated on having enough patience and thoughtfulness to keep it open for as long as it was there. It was a great space for this use and I think it is now a place. That is because the boys worked hard and did good things. Hopefully something cool will replace it and the Bees will all find a great new hive. Number One Comeback.

Tony, any word on what is going on at the warehouse spot? it's literally my backyard, so i hope it's not going to just become vacant.

No idea. I know there was an uptick in interest so hopefully something moves in but I am not aware of anything certain.

JJ, BBB stands for Beats, Bikes and Bags since the building housed a records shop, a bike co-op, and a bag shop.

BBB will be missed and I know Burro will move on to bigger and better things. Even though there Springfield to the core, I always envisioned them having a boutique/work space downtown.

wow, that sucks!! i remember when the place opened, it has become a mecca for us metro/local musicans, for 3 years now. this is a tragedy....it will be missed. please up date us as to where the buisness are relocating to....
