Some friends of mine are organizing a benefit for the Beaches Local Food Network (BLFN) which is part of the Beaches Organic Community Garden.

Beaches Local Food Network promotes local food, organic growing and alternative living. The Beaches Green Market is every Saturday between 2-5pm in Jarboe Park. The organization looks to grow both projects, and soon will offer educational workshops and programs through both of these venues. They hope to establish a home garden consultation program, a children’s gardening program, and a fresh food program for local schools.
