Update on Hightide Burrito Company

Hightide Burrito

In my article Hightide Burrito Company coming to San Marco, Uncommon Grounds closes I said this was a franchise and it received mixed reviews. This is incorrect.

Hightide Burrito Company is owned by UNF graduate Alejandro Juarez. The article UNF grad brings burritos to San Marco community has many more details and an interview with Juarez. Check out their menu online at the Hightide Burrito website.

HighTide Burrito Co. will be a quick-casual restaurant … What will set his restaurant apart from the competition is the importance placed on fresh and authentic Mexican ingredients, he said.

Everything from tortillas to salsa will be made fresh, in-house. Cactus, a common ingredient in Mexican cuisine, will be sautéed with mushrooms as part of the vegetarian option. Mexican beers like Tecate will also be served at the restaurant.
